I've made no secret of the fact that I have a major boner for David Weeks Studio. Gird your loins kids, because his annual sample sale is right around the corner. He's throwing the doors wide open to the unwashed masses to peruse his ultra modern chandeliers, standing lamps, sconces, desk lamps, one of a kind tchotchkes, and so much more. And don't bother bringing plastic, this party is cash or check only. Hit it.

David Weeks Studio, purveyors of drool worthy (and very expensive) lighting, has just launched tweekstudio.com for us cheapskates. Check out their snazzy collection of witty, well designed thingamajiggies at bargain basement prices. My faves: Gorilla Ashtrays, the Sing Sing tray, and Hanno.

David Weeks creates functional objects with universal appeal. By transforming simple shapes into elegant forms, he has evolved a distinct and modern aesthetic. I see the influence of fab 50s lighting innovators like Stilnovo and Arteluce, the mobiles of Calder, and molecular model kits.
